First Day of School for Grades 1 to 7 (9-10am): The first day for students in grades 1 to 7 for the new school year is Tuesday, September 7th.  School starts at 9:00 a.m. and students are to meet in the gymnasium.  New students will meet in the Activity/Lunch room.  Please note that students only attend for one hour on that day and will be dismissed at 10:00 a.m.   Even though it is only for an hour, it is essential that all students attend!  If your child will not be at school on this first day (or will be returning to school later on), you must let the school know during the first week of September.  (We cannot guarantee space for children who arrive late without letting the school know in advance.)  Leave a detailed message at the office at 604-713-4595 or email us at nelson@vsb.bc.ca.

First Day of School for Kindergarten Students: The first day for Kindergarten students is Wednesday, September 8.  A calendar describing the schedule for Kindergarten students was mailed home at the end of June.  Click here to view the calendar.

Nelson is turning 100 and next year (2011) is our Centennial!
Did you attend Lord Nelson School as a student or staff member over the last century? We’ll be looking for alumni to share their Nelson stories and will also be looking for volunteers to help with the events in May 2011.  More information will be posted here in the Fall - so keep on checking our website!
